Notice

  • The organiser may review meeting statuses and 1:1 Chat records to ensure the smooth operation of the platform.
  • The organiser does not share the personal data of exhibitors or buyers with any third parties, nor is such information shared between the meeting parties themselves.
  • If the other party does not respond within three (3) days of the meeting request being submitted, the request will be automatically cancelled.
  • Please ensure that you review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy in advance to avoid any inconvenience when using the matching platform.
  • For exhibitors, basic information is linked to the data submitted to the SECON & eGISEC Digital Showroom; however, if updates are made within the matching platform, this linkage will be discontinued. Please bear this in mind when using the platform.

FAQ

Q1. How long does it take to create an account after submitting the registration application?

-     An account will be created within five (5) business days after submission.

-     The account details will be sent to the email address of the contact person provided in the application.


Q2. Can I request multiple meetings with the same counterparty?

-     If a meeting request has already been submitted, it is not possible to request additional meetings with the same counterparty.


Q3. What happens if there is no response to a meeting request?

-     If the counterparty does not respond within three (3) business days after the meeting request is sent, the request will be automatically cancelled.


Q4. If I update my company information on the platform, will it be reflected in the Exhibitor Digital Showroom as well?

-     The matching platform operates independently from the Exhibitor Digital Showroom.

-     Any changes made on the matching platform will not be reflected in the Exhibitor Digital Showroom.


Q5. Can I request another meeting with the same counterparty after cancelling a meeting?

-     Yes, if a meeting has been cancelled, you may request another meeting with the same counterparty.


Q6. How can I correct company information that cannot be edited on the platform?

-     Please contact the platform administrator via message or email at secon-matching@informa.com.


Q7. Can I delete chat rooms or sent messages?

-     Chat rooms cannot be deleted for administrative purposes.

-     However, messages can be deleted by clicking the ‘X’ icon on the message bubble before the recipient has read them.


Q8. Can I receive additional contact details or detailed information about the counterparty?

-     Personal information or contact details beyond what is disclosed on the matching platform will not be provided.

-     We recommend confirming further details directly during the on-site meeting.


Q9. I was unable to download an attachment within the given timeframe.

-     Attachments are stored on the server for seven (7) business days from the initial sending date and are automatically deleted thereafter.

-     If you require the file, please request it again directly from the counterparty.

Terms of Use

1. Definitions

In these Conditions, the following terms have the following meanings:

1.1. Access Period: means from the date of first use until the last date on which the Event [SN1] is scheduled to be open to visitors, unless otherwise specified by the Organiser;

1.2. Conditions: these terms and conditions;

1.3. Content: all content, materials and other information that is provided by Member to Organiser and/or uploaded to the Platform (including, without limitation, text, graphics, photographs, audio, audiovisual, data and other content types);

1.4. Event: SECON & eGISEC 2026;

1.5. Force Majeure Event: any event or circumstance arising that is not within Organiser’s reasonable control (including, without limitation, governmental regulations or action, imposition of sanctions, embargo, military action, acts of terrorism or war, civil commotion or riot, epidemic, pandemic, fire, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake, natural disaster, third party contractor/supplier failure, Event venue damage or cancellation, industrial dispute, interruption/failure of utility service or nuclear, chemical or biological contamination);

1.6. Intellectual Property Rights: trade marks, trading names, domain names, logos, rights in design, copyrights, database rights, moral rights, goodwill, rights of confidence, know-how and trade secrets and all other intellectual property rights or analogous rights, whether registered or unregistered, that subsist now or in the future anywhere in the world;

1.7. Member: the person that has registered to attend the Event, either in their personal capacity (as a sole proprietor) or as authorised representative on behalf of a legal entity;

1.8. Organiser: Informa Markets BN Co Ltd;

1.9. Organiser Group: the Organiser and its affiliates;

1.10. Platform: means Organiser’s business-to-business matching services web application which is for matchmaking functionality at the Event;

1.11. Services: means the provision of the Platform by Organiser to the Member (including licensing the use of the Platform) under these Conditions.

 

2. Data protection

2.1. Member acknowledges and agrees that the personal information provided for registration for the Platform and the data relating to their participation in the Event, including use of the Services, will be held by Organiser on a database and, where we have appropriate authorisation/justification (which may include, without limitation, express/implied consent or legitimate interests), may be shared with other entities within the Informa Group and selected third parties internationally for promotional and other purposes. Your personal information may also be shared with government entities and regulatory authorities as required by law. The use that any third parties make of your personal information within the Platform is outside of Organisers’ control and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept any liability in this regard. Organiser collects, uses and protects personal data in accordance with its privacy policy, which can be found here: https://www.seconexpo.com/privacy_eng.asp

2.2. All data and/or information collected by the Member using the Platform shall be available for the Member to access during the Access Period.


3. Services

3.1. Organiser grants the Member a personal non-transferrable licence to use the Platform hosted by Organiser for the Member’s own personal use only. Each user (being an individual with their own, sole, access rights) will have a unique user log in which will constitute a single licence.

3.2. Organiser cannot guarantee that the Platform will operate continuously or without interruption and we do not accept any liability for its temporary unavailability. Member must not attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Platform (for example, by attempting to circumvent security or tamper with, hack into or otherwise disrupt any computer system, server, website, router or any other Internet connected device).

3.3. Organiser may move or suspend the Platform for short periods of time to carry out maintenance or repair to servers or to implement improvements. Organiser will notify the Member of planned maintenance but may not be able to notify the Member of emergency maintenance or repairs.

3.4. Subject to the provisions of Condition 3.2, Organiser will use reasonable endeavours to keep the Platform available to the Member at all times for the duration of the Event. 

3.5. Member must notify Organiser as soon as it becomes aware of any issue with the Platform or Services. Organiser will use reasonable endeavours to respond to emailed notification of such issues and to resolve them promptly. 

3.6. Organiser does not endorse or accept any responsibility for the use of, or content on, the Platform or any other website linked or referenced within the Platform and Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, claim or expense suffered or incurred by the Member arising out of or in connection with the use of, or reliance on, any content, products and/or services available on or through the Platform or any other website. Further, Organiser shall be under no obligation whatsoever to oversee, verify or moderate any content on the Platform.

 

4. Services Restrictions

4.1. Member may use the Services solely for its own internal business purposes. Without limitation, Member must not:

4.1.1. resell, sub-license, rent, lease, transfer, license, assign, network or otherwise distribute or make available the rights in the Platform in any manner to any third party;

4.1.2. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Platform software;

4.1.3. use the Platform in any manner other than in compliance with applicable laws and these Conditions;

4.1.4. adapt, modify, merge, revise, translate, enhance or create derivative works of the Platform for any purpose;

4.1.5. infringe our Intellectual Property Rights or those of any third party in relation to your use of the Services;

4.1.6. knowingly transmit, send or upload any data that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms or any other harmful programs or similar computer code;

4.1.7. use the Platform in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair or compromise our systems or security or interfere with other users;

4.1.8. interfere with, manipulate, damage or disrupt the Platform.

4.2. Usernames and passwords remain the property of Organiser at all times and may not be sold, assigned or transferred to any third party without Organiser’s permission. Your username and password are personal to you. You hereby acknowledge that you will not permit others to use your username or password and you will be and remain liable for the acts of any person using your username and password. Member undertakes to keep all usernames, passwords and other access details relating to administrative functions confidential and to indemnify Organiser for any loss or damage arising from its failure to do so.  You must notify Organiser immediately of any unauthorised use of any usernames or passwords, or any other breach of security regarding your use of Services that comes to your attention.

4.3. Organiser reserves the right, at its own discretion, to undertake any checks that it deems appropriate, including verifying the Member’s email, identity and/or contact details used for the Platform.

 

5. Member Obligations

5.1. Member will be responsible for providing and maintaining adequate internet connectivity to make use of real time functionality of the Platform at the Event. Organiser is not responsible for internet or broadband connection.

5.2. Member shall cooperate, in good faith, with Organiser in all matters relating to the Services. Without limitation, Member shall provide Organiser with all information as Organiser may reasonably request in respect of the Services and shall ensure that such information is accurate.

5.3. Organiser reserves the right to remove any Content that it deems offensive, inappropriate, libellous or non-compliant with these Conditions. Member shall ensure that the Content shall not infringe the Intellectual Property Rights of any third party and Member shall be solely responsible for checking the accuracy and compliance with law of any Content.

5.4. All Content shall be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. Member waives any moral rights in the Content to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5.5. Member warrants, represents and undertakes that the Content is: (i) Member’s own content, which it is authorised to provide and which does not infringe the rights (including Intellectual Property Rights) of any third party, (iii) not in any way defamatory, libellous, obscene, menacing, threatening, offensive, abusive or fraudulent, (iv) not in any way illegal and that it does not contravene any law or incite or encourage the contravention of any law, (v) not and will not be the subject of any claims, demands, liens, encumbrances or rights of any kind that could or will impair or interfere with Organiser’s use of the Content in connection with the provision of the Services, and (vi) free from any viruses and any other malware or corrupting elements of any kind and that it shall not cause any adverse effect on the operation of the Platform or other systems of the Organiser used in the delivery of the Services.

5.6. Member shall indemnify Organiser against any loss, damage, cost, claim or expense suffered or incurred by Organiser and/or any member of the Organiser Group arising out of or in connection with (i) the Content including, without limitation, any third party claim regarding any infringement of third party Intellectual Property Rights relating to the Content, and (ii) any loss or damage to the Platform software or to data stored upon such software by reason of contagion by virus or other cause introduced by use of the Platform from the Member’s device.

 

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1. Save as set out herein, nothing in these Conditions shall be construed as granting to Member any right, permission or licence to use or exploit the Intellectual Property Rights of Organiser and/or any member of the Informa Group.

6.2. In the event of any claim of third-party infringement in respect of any element of the Platform, Organiser reserves the right to offer any other service it deems appropriate, in a format and with the technical features and resources that it deems most appropriate to deliver the Services.

 

7. Termination and penalties for breach

7.1. Organiser may terminate the provision of Services to Member, including access to the Platform, without liability immediately at any time if Member is in breach of these Conditions or, more generally, any violation of laws and regulations. Further, in the event of any breach, Organiser reserves the right to take all appropriate measures including, but not limited to, (i) suspension or termination of access to the Platform by Member, (ii) deletion of any Content shared by Member linked to the breach or violation in question, and (iii) notify relevant authorities, where applicable, and cooperate with them and provide them with all relevant information they may need to investigate any unlawful activities of Member.

7.2. Termination of the provision of Services to Member shall not affect (i) any rights, remedies, obligations or liabilities of either party that have accrued up to the date of termination, and (ii) any Condition expressly or by implication intended to survive or operate in the event of such termination.

 

8. Liability and indemnity

8.1. Organiser does not make any warranty as to the Services in general, including, without limitation, in relation to: (i) engagement with any exhibitor, sponsor or attendee of the Event, and/or (ii) the benefit or outcome (commercial or otherwise) that Member may achieve as a result of using the Services. Except as set out in these Conditions, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Organiser excludes all terms, conditions, warranties, representations and undertakings relating to the Services and the Event that are not expressly stated herein.

8.2. Subject to Condition 8.5: (i) Member expressly assumes all risks associated with, resulting from or arising in connection with Member’s use of the Services, (ii) neither Organiser nor any member of the Organiser Group shall be liable for any (a) indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss or damage, loss of actual or anticipated profits or income, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data or any other type of economic loss or damage, (b) any errors arising from failure of the Member’s computer, server or mobile device, or any inadequacy of the Member’s internet or broadband connection, or (c) loss (or theft) of, injury to, illness of or damage to the person, property (including any device on which the Platform is used by Member) and effects of Member, whether caused by negligence, intentional act, accident, act of God or otherwise, and (iii) Organiser’s (and any member of the Organiser Group’s) maximum aggregate liability to Member under these Conditions or otherwise in connection with the Device Services, howsoever arising, shall be limited to a maximum aggregate amount of US$100[SN2] .

8.3. Member shall indemnify Organiser against any loss, damage, cost, claim or expense suffered or incurred by Organiser and/or any member of the Organiser Group arising out of or in connection with: (i) any loss of or damage to any property or injury to, illness of or death of any person caused by any act or omission of Member, and (ii) any breach by Member of these Conditions.

8.4. Organiser shall not be in breach of these Conditions nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these Conditions if such delay or failure results from a Force Majeure Event and/or from any delay, failure or error on the part of Member in providing cooperation and/or information as contemplated by these Conditions. 

8.5. Nothing in these Conditions shall exclude or limit any liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

 

9. General

9.1. Member acknowledges and agrees that Organiser and each member of the Informa Group shall have a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence and right to collect and maintain, and to reproduce, publish, display, transmit, distribute, adapt, create derivative works from, syndicate and otherwise exploit or use, commercially or otherwise, in any medium, any and all: (i) analytics data captured at or in connection with the Services (including, without limitation, attendee, user or online behaviours and usage data relating to any match-making initiatives), and/or (ii) Content and other materials made available by Member in connection with the Services (together, both (i) and (ii) being the Data). 

9.2. Each party acknowledges and agrees that these Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the Services and that it supersedes any and all prior oral or written understandings, communications or agreements with respect to the subject matter hereof.

9.3. Organiser shall be entitled to assign any and all of its rights under these Conditions to any member of the Organiser Group and the consent of Member shall not be required. Organiser shall be entitled, without the consent of Member, to sub-contract any and all of its obligations under these Conditions to any member of the Organiser Group or any third party contractor assisting Organiser with the facilitation of the Services.

9.4. No failure by Organiser in exercising any right or remedy shall operate as a waiver of the same. No waiver by Organiser of any breach by Member shall be considered as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision of these Conditions. The rights and remedies under these Conditions are cumulative and are not exclusive of any rights or remedies provided by law.

9.5. If any provision of these Conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision under this Condition 9.5 shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Conditions.

9.6. Organiser reserves the right to amend these Conditions at any time. Member will be informed about these amendments via any pertinent method. If Member does not agree to the amended Conditions it must unsubscribe from the Services and cease any further use of the Platform.  If Member makes use of the Services after the amended Conditions have taken effect, Member shall be deemed to have accepted the amendments.

 

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

10.1. These Conditions shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea and the Member submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Republic of Korea courts for all purposes relating to these Conditions.
